Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 cup SumSweet+
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 dash salt

Instructions

  1. Pour half of the half-and-half, the SumSweet+, and the salt into a saucepan. Warm over medium heat just until the sweetener dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then stir in the remaining half-and-half and the vanilla. Chill in the refrigerator.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Set aside.
  3. Fold the chilled half-and-half mixture into the whipped cream.
  4. Pour the base into a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze until firm, about 3 hours.
