Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Creamy, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate frosting. Perfect for piping cakes and cupcakes.

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered SumSweet+ Granular
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Add the softened butter to a large mixing bowl and beat for 1-2 minutes until smooth, creamy, and nearly white.
  2. Add the salt and vanilla. Mix until incorporated.
  3. With the mixer on low, slowly add the powdered SumSweet+ and cocoa powder.
  4. Add the heavy cream one tablespoon at a time, mixing slowly, until it reaches the consistency you'd like.
  5. Beat for 1 minute on medium until smooth and creamy.
